I have recently travelled with Etihad Airways from Manchester (UK) to Manila (Philippines). I left for Manchester Airport at 20.30, this meant the airport was relatively busy and queues were especially long at security. I would definitely recommend arriving in plenty of time, at least two/three hours for any delays.
The cabin crew were really friendly and very efficient, the food was good and the entertainment options were plentiful. We transited Abu Dhabi (Etihad Airways hub). Our 777 was nearly an hour late leaving due to a delay with ATC (Air Traffic Control) . I spent the flight planning a sprint for my connection in Abu Dhabi and thinking of contingency plans in case my luggage did not make it through with the looming tight connection. However I needn’t have worried the Etihad Airways ground staff were one step ahead; armed with a list of passengers who had tight connections and met us upon our arrival. They fast tracked us through security and made sure we knew where our next gate was and the connection was made with 5 minutes to spare. You cannot fault their planning and I will certainly pack some spare clothes in my hand luggage in the future … just in case.
Overall I am really pleased with their service, plane, efficiently and the staff in general. I would recommend them.
Etihad Airways is our supplier of the month for July and throughout the month we are running a competition. Check it out here.
