2002

• 1. Chartham Marine born
  2. Started with 1.5 staff working from home
  3. First marine fare contract confirmed by KLM
  4. First article written for IOD Kent Network Article

2003

• 1. Rebranding of Chartham Marine
  2. Opened office in Canterbury at Newingate House office
  3. 2 man implant set up in Cumbria
  4. Editorial written for Seatrade March/April edition
  5. Created our first newsletter – The Manifest

2004

• 1. IATA licence approved
  2. Sales and HR Staff members employed
  3. Moved to The Clocktower offices in Canterbury

2005

• 1. Marine fare contract confirmed by British Airways
  2. Started Investors in People process
  3. Invited to become a member of the focus group – Advantage Travel.

2006

• 1. Awarded Investors in people accreditation
  2. 1st April Chartham marine became the marine travel company

2007

• 1. Founding partner of the mta⁷ alliance
  2. Started sponsoring Canterbury Rugby Club

2008

• 1. Sailor Society nominated as our charity
  2. 5k run in Hyde Park for Sailor Society
  3. Awarded best producer award with Royal Jordanian Airways

2009

• 1. Sponsored Clipper Round The World Race 09-10
  2. Took part in the dragon boat race for the Sailors Society
  3. Attended Focus Advantage partnership 10th anniversary party

2010

• 1. First marine travel company to create an APP for iPhone
  2. Additional staff employed in the sales department
  3. Attended Clipper Round The World Race stopover in Cape Breton

2011

• 1. Launched our facebook and twitter pages
  2. Trek Mount Kinabalu for Sailors Society
  3. Renewed sponsorship for Clipper Round The World Race 11-12

2012

• 1. Celebrated 10 year anniversary
  2. Exhibited at Oceanology
  3. Renewed Investors In People accreditation

2013

• 1. Opened office in Manila with 4 staff members
  2. Reservation Manager celebrates 10 years
  3. Sponsorship agreement with Marine FC
  4. Became an associate member of YBDSA Association

2014

• 1. Joined WISTA Association
  2. Exhibited at Seawork
  3. Agreed a 10 year sponsorship with Canterbury Rugby Club

2015

• 1. Staff created our Core Values
  2. Exhibited at CMA Shipping in Connecticut, USA
  3. Awarded best producer for Air Berlin and Etihad Airways
  4. Exhibited at Seawork, Southampton

2016

• 1. Exhibited at Oceanology
  2. 1st June the marine travel company became Marine Travel
  3. Relaunched a new website and Live chat facility
  4. New mta⁷ partner joined – Fly-Hi based in India

2017

• 1. Accounts & Administration Manager celebrates 10 years
  2. Renewed sponsorship as official supplier for the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race
  3. Manila team expand with a total of 9 staff
  4. Marine Travel celebrates 15th anniversary
  5. Clark Jets and Marine Travel attend golf day at Faversham course to raise money for Clark Jets
  6. mta⁷ alliance celebrates 10th anniversary in Kiev

2018

• 1. Finalist at the Canterbury Business Awards
  2. Exhibiting at Seawork, Southampton
  3. Manila team expand with a total of 11 staff
  4. Attended golf day with customers and suppliers to raise money for Clark Jets
  5. Canterbury office moved to 30 St George’s Place, Canterbury

2019

• 1. Working with customers providing round the clock travel for Keyworkers in the maritime sector
