We are currently seeking for our Canterbury office.
An opportunity has arisen for an Account Assistant within our Accounts Department to start as soon as possible. This is a temporary position, initially for 3 months, with the possibility of extending.
Candidates must be flexible as hours/days will change weekly. A guaranteed 15 hours can be offered and up to 37 hours may be required depending on work load. Availability over school holidays is essential.
The role would predominantly involve raising sales invoices and credit notes and supporting basic accounting duties. These tasks will include: assisting with credit control, dealing with email and telephone queries, processing credit card payments and general office admin.
We require a motivated individual who can work effectively as part of a team. They must take care to ensure their work is accurate and have a keen eye for detail. Good numerical, computer and communication skills are essential.
Accounts or office experience would be desirable but not essential. We use industry software and full training will be given.

Marine Travel Consultant
As a marine travel consultant you will be required to book all travel arrangements for clients on a varied portfolio of marine & offshore accounts, making reservations for complex travel itineraries with international & domestic scheduled flights and various ground products (eg; hotels, car hire & rail travel). Working within a busy travel office you will act as a first point of contact for all travel queries, handling crew changes for clients, sometimes at short notice. You will be required to work with nett fares & nett fare contracts on a daily basis. You will also have the ability to offer your clients advice on general marine travel practice.
As a marine travel consultant you will have some proven experience working in a similar business travel or marine travel operation, and have experience tailor-making complex travel itineraries with scheduled flights and various ground products (to include large group bookings & crew changes). You will be extremely customer focused, have great attention to detail, and have the ability to work to tight deadlines on a daily basis. You will also be PC literate, and have a good working knowledge of a GDS – Preferably Galileo or Amadeus booking systems. Previous experience working with nett fares & nett fare contracts would be an advantage.
